Discipleship for Youth
Our heart is to actively involve the parents in all aspects of youth ministry. Our leaders work with the parents to nurture their adolescents through this stage of their lives. Youth meet in a relaxed atmosphere to discuss various topics on growing as a Christian. They explore issues of today, trust issues and discuss ways they can grow spiritually, and how to help others break free from the influences of the world.

Other Ministries
Highland Crest offers so many different areas of ministry, both within the church and reaching out to the community.
XYZ Fellowship - Also known as eXtra Years of Zest , our Seniors meet the first Tuesday of every month for fellowship, a potluck meal and other business. In addition to providing a source of fellowship for this group, they also work together to serve the church and community in various activities.
Trucker Ministry - Some HCBC members have identified a need to provide weekly preaching services at a local truck stop for those passing through the area, in addition, this ministry provides transportation on Sunday mornings to truckers who want to attend our worship services.
Prayer Chain - We are a praying church. In addition to our weekly prayer group on Wednesday and our Evening Prayer Service on Sundays, we have an active prayer chain. If you have a request, call the church office at 494-3647 or click our prayer link on this site and we will activate the prayer cycle.
Men's/Women's Ministry - These two pivotal organizations are designed to pinpoint and reach-out to specific needs in the church body related to men and women, including fellowship, one-on-one discipleship, counseling, and other felt needs. They work in cooperation with the Sunday School classes to schedule fellowship opportunities, in-depth Bible studies and community service activities. Any man or woman involved with HCBC automatically becomes a part of this ministry.
Music Ministry - A full choir in churches is a dying breed. We believe it is important for a body of believers to lead out in worship. Our choir takes this responsibility seriously. Choir meets every Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. for preparation for Sunday morning worship, as well as, various concerts/cantatas throughout the year. You don't have to be a member to be a part of our choir, but we're confident that as you participate, that you will have a desire to become a part of the family of Highland Crest.
Bus Ministry - a new venture for our church family is our bus ministry. If you or someone you know are in need of a ride to church, call the church office and we will make arrangements through our Bus Ministry to pick you up for worship. We hope to be accessible to our College campuses, nursing homes and other areas where there is a need for transportation. |
