Our children are very important to us at
Highland Crest Baptist Church.

This is reflected in everything we do to teach and care for them. Our number one mission for each child is to share Christ and equip them with the basic tools that they can carry with them into adolescence and adulthood.
For your child's safety we have established certain requirements for service in the Children's area. Anyone working with children or youth in any capacity, must fill out a "Ministry to Minors" application. The application includes a release form, allowing us to do a record check with local and former local authorities to alert us of any threat of abuse or criminal activity. Strict confidentiality is observed. This is one way we show high esteem and value to our children, by doing everything in our power to keep them safe and accounted for.
Our Children's Wing offers a safe environment for them to play games, including an indoor gym area where they can stretch and climb and run. We make opportunities for them to sing songs, memorize scripture, hear Bible stories and interact with other children in a wholesome atmosphere. Our goal is to provide them with a teaching opportunity the moment they walk in the door.
Some of the programs for children include:
Sunday School for Children
Each Sunday morning at 9:00 a.m. children are challenged to bring their Bibles and to study about Jesus and His life, as well as other stories of the Bible and how to apply it all to their own lives. Our teachers spend time training for the task so they can meet the needs of the children they are teaching.
Children are divided into two classes: 1st & 2nd grade and 3rd thru 5th grade.
Kings Kids on the March (age 6 - 5th grade)
This is a discipleship program designed specifically for children with an emphasis on Christian growth, scripture memorization , service projects and other enriching activities. Your children will want to return every week for more fun! This program meets every Wednesday night at 6:30 p.m. throughout the year.
