Jim Downs
Pastor
Our pastor and his wife, Vonna, have been here since 1990. Jim has a Masters in Divinity from Southwestern Seminary; he earned his undergraduate degree in History from Oklahoma Baptist University. Jim and Vonna have three grown children. In addition to the many other duties that Vonna fulfills in ministry at HCBC, including Women's and Music Ministry, she plays piano for our main services.

Chad Hertler
Associate Pastor of Discipleship and Evangelism
Chad and his wife Melody have recently returned to the Green Bay area to serve in a full-time capacity at HCBC. Chad served as an intern at Highland Crest back in 1999 and then attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth , TX . After graduating with his Masters of Divinity, he and Melody moved to Flint , Michigan , where he served for five years as the Senior Pastor of Central Baptist Church . Melody has strong ties to Highland Crest, attending since the age of 12 and the daughter of Pastor Jim and Vonna. Chad and Melody have two sons, Abraham and Elijah. |

Jed Manders
Minister of Youth & Family
Jed and his wife Dawn have been serving and attending HCBC since 2005. In May, 2007 Jed felt the call to pursue Christian ministry and began serving full-time as an Intern. In July, 2009 the membership voted to hire Jed full-time as Minister of Youth & Family. His position will work most closely with the youth department with an emphasis on supporting the families of Highland Crest. Jed and Dawn have two daughters, Joselyn & Jillian. |
